“ Wow! Another hidden gem up in the Weirsdale area! Gator Joes is fantastic! We were craving a view moving up from South Florida and although the water isnt blue... the view, the atmosphere, music and cold beers did not disappoint! We tried the gator tail, shrimp and fried fish and everything was fried lightly and tasted really fresh. Our server James was very chill and friendly and band playing that day sounded great! Amazing views on Lake Weir, amazing nature all around and just a great place in general, definitely lifted our mood. Well see you soon Gator Joes!! ”

“ This place is well worth trying out. I bet its crazy in the summer. They have a huge outdoor overthewater patio with shade that is just fantastic. Lots of seating indoors and outdoors. Very big beach for swimming or laying out. Nice sand volleyball court. We got gator bites and a sandwich, both were really good, along with our drinks. Service was also very quick and nice! ”
“ The food is great, and portion sizes are huge! They have salads for vegetarians. Their outside seating is so lovely during the evening. The service and staff were nice and attentive. The only thing was their alcohol drinks can be a hit or miss as they told us they are premade. Overall, it was a great experience and their seating is good for big groups. ”

“ Gator tail! What a cool place! Live music on weekends, outdoor seating, good food and service. Whats not to like? I had the gator tail basket with fries, everything was cooked perfectly. My wife and kids all had gator tail tacos and they said they were excellent! Fun outdoor seating, just watch the Boattrailer Grackles, theyre pretty and pretty fast at snagging whats near your hand if Youre not paying attention! ”
“ Great experience with my most recent visit here my family. Brought a friend from out of town to see the beautiful view of Lake Weir at sunset for dinner. Nicole was fantastic and attentive to our needs. Fried pickles were excellent. Tried the Gator tacos! Would highly recommend to anyone who has never tried or looking for something new to try. ”
“ Our friends took us here for lunch and what amazing view! We sat outside which was pretty windy, but comfortable. We ordered the gator bites, tuna appetizer, fish and chips, and the chicken Cesar salad wrap. Would have preferred beer batter on the fish, but still good. ”
